WASHINGTON, DC --- For the third week in a row, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference has tabbed freshman Katherine Broussard as the MEAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today.

The 5-7 outside hitter from Harvey, La. nearly notched a double-double (14 kills, 8 digs) in Howard's 3-1 victory over East Carolina on September 24, the Lady Bison's only game last week.

Including her Player of the Week nod from September 9, Broussard earned honors from the MEAC every week during the month. Overall, Howard has captured five conference weekly awards this season, with junior setter Stephanie Shultis taking home Player of the Week honors last week.

The Lady Bison open MEAC North Division play this week with a pair of road games - at Delaware State (September 30; 5:00 PM) and at Maryland Eastern Shore (October 4, 7:00 PM).
